Project: Show Garden

Location: Gardening Scotland

This garden was created for the Gardening Scotland event in conjunction with mental health charity Support In Mind. The contemporary outdoor pod was complemented with geometric shapes within the hard landscaping as well as the planting, with clipped Buxus balls surrounded by lush, loose planting and a muted colour palette. The garden was themed around mental health, inspired by the book ‘The Recovery Letters’, a book comprising letters addressed to people suffering from depression, written by people recovering from depression. Some of these letters were read aloud and played as a recording within the garden pod.

The garden proved to be very popular with visitors, and received both the Best New Show Garden award and a Silver Gilt award.
