Project: Installation of planters (private client)

Location: Glasgow West

This job involved the supply, installation and planting of a series of large planters outside a basement appartment in one of the most exclusive parts of Glasgow. The exterior part of the property was laid to sandstone slabs but there wwas nothing else there to welcome the client home, or provide a tranquil space for seating. Given the extremely shady conditions, the plant selection was challenging; however the client loved ferns and foliage and so we set about creating an evergreen jungle.

The project began with an initial consultation to discuss the client’s aspirations and examine the precise conditions of the site. After carefully measuring the site up, a plan was produced showing what size planters were being proposed, and where they were to be placed. The client was delighted with the result, and since installation we have been engaged in ongoing maintenance.
