Garden Rewilding
Rewilding is the buzz word in conservation these days, and for clients with large gardens or grounds that can absorb a rewilding programme, Tom can help assist with this process. An initial ecological survey is followed up with a rewilding plan, which Tom can help implement if required. Rewilding is about letting ecosystems re-establish to such an extent that landscapes can start to take care of themselves again. This has a benefit for the client as well, with quality green space proven to improve our lives in countless ways; however, this is principally about leaving a legacy, and ensuring that you leave your slice of nature in a markedly better condition than when you took it on.
Tom is passionate about helping clients maximise the biodiversity in their gardens. In Scotland, nearly 40%* of the country’s urban green space is made up of private gardens, emphasising their hugely important role in helping to create and maintain sanctuaries and corridors for wildlife.
