Project: Garden design (private client)

Location: Glasgow South

This sloping site on the south side of Glasgow enjoyed magnificent views across the city, but the garden was no longer doing the house or the views full justice. The clients engaged Tom to completely redesign the space, requesting that a number of existing features were retained and designed around. The clients were delighted with the end result, now enjoying a spectacular, sunken patio at the bottom of the garden - once the planting has grown in, this area will feel distinctly separate as an intimate entertaining area for family and friends.

The planting conditions were challenging on this site, and extreme attention to detail was required in order to ensure that the correct plants were chosen to survive and flourish in the garden.

As with many of the gardens designed by Tom, we are retained as the maintenance contractor in order to ensure that the planting scheme develops and matures as intended.
